Harvest Time in Karen’s Garden

Kip Jacobs keeps us up-to-date on what’s happening in Karen’s Garden over at USM Environmental Action Team. Check out news of the harvest and post about the new compost structure, designed and built by senior Malcolm G. (and fellow Eagle Scouts) for his Eagle Scout badge.

Apparently today’s school lunch menu included Karen’s Garden tomatoes, cheese, onions, and KG basil.  Yum.

  1. From Kip Jacobs:
Cindy – thanks for the news byte on your blog. That garden is starting to attract some attention outside of USM as well. The tomatoes will be around for another week, the cucumbers for another two. I am drying the sunflower seeds and the gourds and pumpkins just keep on spreading all over the place.
